EDITNSHIP
Privacy policy
Updated 1 November 2026
RH Fardin operates EditnShip. For privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests, email [email protected].
Information we handle
- Download requests and support: your email address, request details and messages you send us. Download requests are recorded and forwarded to our support mailbox so we can send the app.
- Accounts: email, name, sign-in identifiers, password-verification hashes and sessions. Google sign-in supplies identity details when you choose that option.
- Projects and media: files and project information you choose to edit, sync, process with AI or publish.
- Product and billing records: customer, transaction, subscription and license identifiers; plan, status, credit grants and usage records needed for access, billing support and fraud prevention.
- Technical information: network/IP information, request times, app version, device information, security/rate-limit records and error reports needed to deliver and protect the service.
On-device editing and cloud features
The Mac app and web editor perform local editing and rendering on your device. Browser projects can remain in browser storage. If you use account/sync features, relevant projects, transcripts and media are sent to our Cloudflare-hosted services. Deleting a cloud account does not remove local exports or copies already shared with another service.
Personal AI keys entered for your own-key mode are stored on your device or in your browser and used with the provider you select. Do not send API keys to support or enter them in the download-request form.
AI processing
When you request an AI feature, the selected provider receives the prompt and the content needed for that request, which may include transcript text, audio, images or project context. Providers may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and ElevenLabs, depending on the feature and your settings. Their own privacy terms govern their processing.
Where included AI is available, requests pass through our service to add the platform's key and record usage. The new subscription-credit service is not live yet. Credit accounting records operation identifiers and quantities; it is not a purchase of dollars or tokens. Chat history and generated material may be saved as part of your app/project data. Review sensitive content before sending it to any provider.
Hosting, email and payments
Cloudflare provides website hosting, app infrastructure, storage and security. Resend is used for configured transactional messages, including download-request notifications and account emails. These providers process the information needed to perform those tasks.
When a purchase is made through Paddle, Paddle handles checkout, payment details, taxes, receipts and payment support as merchant of record. We receive the billing identifiers and purchase status needed to supply the product; we do not store full card numbers or card security codes. Paddle's separate privacy notice describes its processing. Other receipts identify any different payment partner used for a separate or earlier purchase.
Google and YouTube
Google sign-in and YouTube publishing are optional. If you connect a channel, an encrypted access/refresh token is kept for the publishing actions you request. You can disconnect the integration or revoke access from your Google account. Our use of Google API information follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and website analytics
The app uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and a temporary security cookie for Google sign-in. Browser storage also holds local app data and settings. Cloudflare may use security mechanisms needed to deliver and protect the site. The current marketing pages do not load an advertising tracker or Google Analytics tag. If optional tracking is introduced, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated first.
Why we use information
We use information to deliver downloads and product features, manage accounts and purchases, answer support, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, those purposes are supported by the requested service, legitimate operational/security interests, legal duties or your consent. A download request is not consent to unrelated marketing.
Service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Their notices describe their processing and transfers. Contact us about the providers involved in a feature you use.
Retention and your choices
Information is kept for the service or support purpose for which it is needed. You can request access, correction or deletion by email; we may verify account ownership first. Account/cloud-content deletion is available in the app's account settings where enabled. Billing, license, security, audit and legally required records may need to remain after account deletion. Backups and third-party copies may follow separate deletion processes.
You can remove local projects or keys on your device, disconnect providers, revoke Google permissions and stop using optional cloud features. We do not sell your personal data. Where applicable law provides additional privacy rights or a right to complain to a regulator, those rights remain available.
